walk down the vague grassy ridge 50 metres north of Sunset Wall and locate a blocky ridge running out to the cliff edge with a rocky promontory below, Sunset Promontory. Thirty metres south of this, the blocky summit ridge of Alpine Buttress is clearly visible, with Wolfman Jack Wall immediately south again. A good view of the wall can be had from the top of Alpine Buttress. A 35-metre abseil from good block belays on the platform at the top left-hand side of the face (looking out) reaches the large grassy ramp running up beneath the wall.
