Description

Backbone Ridge is the northern half of the Group B bouldering area. I have split it into 2 sections, the west side and the east side due to the volume of established problems.

See topo map below:

Updated (2009) Group B topo with Plan B Area and the Backbone Ridge split into east side and west side. Alternate approaches are the dotted lines.

Getting There

If nobody is camped at Group B, you can park there and walk through the site on the trail uphill. When you come to the saddle inbetween the 2 ridges, turn right. The eastern side is the side closest to Group B site. The western side is away from Group B campsite.

Do NOT walk through the campsite if people are camping there!!!! The park staff were very perturbed by this! An easy bet is to park in the paved lot with the bathrooms on the road right before you reach the Camp B and then hike up through the woods.
