On the Northern Section of Stettner Rocks, this route is just to the right of "The Niche" (approximately five feet right). There is a large partially detached flake/block which is just left of a large tree. From this flake/block look up and you will see the two small shelves that make up "The Mantle Shelf".
Protection
Tougher than it looks. The route starts on a partially detached flake/block. Start in the middle of the face. Climb to top of flake/block. There are two shelves. From the flake/block the first shelf is five feet higher. Climbing this shelf to reach the second (another five feet higher) is the crux. Pull the two shelves and it is an easy exit off the second shelf.
The key to pulling the second shelf is a pinch hold with the left hand. We worked this one for awhile and once we got we did itr for time and the quickest was 39 seconds.
