Description 

The Wiessner Wall is named after Fritz Wiessner, a very big name in climbing back in the 1930's. The wall contains a handfull of moderate climbs that are well worth your time.

Getting There 

To access the Wiessner Wall hike up the West Bluff Trail to the lookout above the Cleo Amphitheater. Follow a climbers trail 200 feet northeast to a gully that drops down the north side of Turk's Head. (To find Turk's Head you can also look at the back of the map handed out at the registration offices). Once below Turk's Head turn back to the southwest to find Wiessner Wall. Alternatively, you could drop down from the West Bluff Trail to a climbers trail that follows the rim of the Cleo Amphitheater and use the access routes that that enter the amphitheater from the northwest above Cleopatra's Needle. From the Needle go northeast about 50 yards.
