| Kicking the climbing season off (did it ever end?) with a party! Saturday, May 12th, 2012, Climb hard on Saturday at Devil's Lake and then come party and camp out on the Wisconsin River Saturday evening. Pebble wrestlers to old school traditionalists are welcome at the celebration. Anyone excited about Wisconsin climbing and their families are encouraged to attend (please be over 21 though). We're hoping this will be an opportunity for the entire Wisconsin climbing community to get to know one another. The party is located on Mike and Melissa Lohre's property approximately 20 minutes from Devil's Lake on the beautiful Wisconsin River, 10270 County Rd Y, Mazomanie, WI (5 miles outside of Sauk City). Camping is encouraged (we have plenty of room) and if you feel inclined you could bring a canoe or kayak for some time on the river. An island behind the property would make a quieter and more private place to camp. Please go to Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/events/282611661824970/), mark if attending and pass this on to anyone who might be interested in attending. If you don't have Facebook, send me an e-mail to confirm. We are asking for a $5.00 per person donation to cover beer and porta-potty cost. Bring your own food and chairs, we will have a grill or two available for cooking. By the way, Remo (Adam Remus) is turning 30 (geezer) and would like an entourage as he flails about on the Lake's classic problems, attempting to climb as many as possible for his birthday challenge. Please contact me, Mike Lohre (mike@mikesmixture.com) or Remo if you have any questions. Mike Lohre (aka Mr. Mix) | FLAG |

| Are you worried about having too many people? Because I can pass this on to Hoofers, which will probably draw a big group (10-15 maybe). | FLAG |

| The party is on May 12th and any climber over 21 is invited. There should be plenty of space, so please pass this on to the Hoofers (as long as they're 21). I do ask that people RSVP so I know how much beer to buy. Hope to see you then. | FLAG |

| The Wisconsin Climber's Party is this coming weekend! After Tuesday there is no rain forecasted continuing through the weekend so conditions should be perfect. I have received a lot of questions regarding whether or not there will be enough space for everyone and if it is OK to invite extra people. To address these questions: 1) Yes, there is plenty of space. In fact, enough space for literally hundreds of people, their cars, and their tents. Additionally, there is a really beautiful island a short paddle (a couple of canoes available or bring your own) across from the property that would offer quiet, scenic camping for those afraid of a Miguels like scene for sleeping. 2) Yes, I strongly encourage people to invite everyone over 21 who climbs in Wisconsin. The mission of this party is an attempt to bring together the somewhat fragmented climbing community throughout Wisconsin. There are a lot of great people that climb in this state and we rarely get an opportunity to come together and hangout. It seems every time I go to the lake I am meeting new or dedicated climbers that I haven't run into before. My vision is to see them all come together at a rocking party after a day of climbing in a private, beautiful campground. So, make an effort to come out and let's see how big the community really is. Invite your friends (use the facbook link in my first post). In regards to the facbook link, I would really like some sort of estimate as to how many people to expect for this event so I can buy enough beer (I'm going to get it this week). So, please register on the facebook event page or send me a message that you are coming if you don't have facebook. | FLAG |

| Did I hear kegs? Mike ,You and your wife should be highly commended for offering to throw a party for the Wisconsin climbing community. It sounds like you also have the perfect place for one. I always liked the area around the river where you live . Sounds ideal. I wish I could be there but it's a long way from ELDO to DL for some swilling. As luck would have it though one of my neighbors here in ELDO is also having a climber keg party the same day,so we will be at least swilling at the same time. I know some one has probably thought of this but you guys should try and drag Pete C. out for some beer our at the very least get him to go out climbing the day of the party. I am sure he would like to take part.Any way have a great time and .......Drink To Puke!!! Cheers to ya. Peace and fuk-nes Steve S. | FLAG |

| Dam, I thought kegs might drag you all the way back to Wisco Steve. Hopefully it will entice the local DLFA guys out; we're going to need someone to drink all this beer. Remo and I have discussed trying to track down Pete for the party. If anyone has a contact for him please share the invite. I'll also drive by his house Saturday morning and look for him. | FLAG |

| Tomorrow is the day! If you don't have a GPS: From Madison take Hwy 12 north to Hwy Y, which is 1 mile south of Sauk City. Take a left (west) on Hwy Y and follow it for almost exactly 4 miles. The house is on the right: 10270 County Road Y. From the lake: take Hwy 12 through Sauk City and cross the river. Take a right on Hwy 78 (at Green Acres), go about a mile and take a right on Hwy Y. Go 3.1 miles and the house is on the right: 10270 County Rd. Y. Bring folding chairs and food. A grill is available. my cell is 608-333-1216 | FLAG |
