-Not in Guidebook-

An awesome new area below the LRT. Many freestanding boulders and fantastic climbs. The trail does become difficult to navigate when summer growth grows in thick, so be prepared to explore a bit of you have trouble locating the path. Long pants are recommended midsummer when stinging nettles are in full force.

Getting There Suggest change

New Trail! Thanks to the hard work, dedication and passion from the volunteers of the GHSP Bouldering & Stewardship Weekend (2016) and the Central Appalachia Climbers Coalition we now have a nice climber access trail into the awesome Wildwood Bouldering Area.

The easiest way to the Wildwood Area is to walk down the back side of the Listening Rock Trail (not the start of the trail with the wooden overlook, but the trail head that is normally the exit of the loop trail which is at the corner of the lower parking lot).

Walk down the trail to the Trail’s End boulder and across the opposite side of the trail is the Colorado Boulder. The Wildwood Bouldering Trail begins beside the Colorado Boulder leading downhill.
