The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is coming to Las Vegas next Friday, November 13, bringing great films to you and supporting a great cause for all of us, Friends of Nevada Wilderness.
The night's feature film will be "Sufferfest," which chronicles Alex Honnold and Cedar Wright as they take a hilariously miserable quest to bike and climb to the top of all of California's 14,000-foot peaks in two weeks. Other films will include "14.c," which features Kai Lightneer, a 14-year-old who climbs some the world's hardest routes, "Adventures with a Purpose: A Higher Calling," showing how extreme citizen science can be, and "Spine of the Continent," about college students from Colorado investigating a corridor of wildlife habitat reaching from Mexico to Canada.
Plus there will be food trucks and beer available for purchase, I heard a rumor about popcorn, and each ticket comes with an entry for some excellent raffle prizes!
