Whiteside Mountain conditions after rain

Hey all, I've been frequenting Whiteside mountain lately, and was hoping to get back there Friday to try a speedier ascent of the OR. The forecast calls for rain Wednesday, however, and I was wondering if this would soak the route through Friday or if anything would seep? I figure the wall gets so much sun that Thursday should dry it out. And if need be, we could wait around until noonish for the morning sun to dry it on friday? Any ideas?

I believe the start of the 10c dihedral seeps as well as a few other spots. The trail down can get really sloppy as well. The traditions finish gets really wet, but is manageable.

Definitely depends on temps, sun exposure, and how much rain actually falls. I've done traditions the day after rain and it was reasonable (wet at the top as Tom mentioned). The OR first pitch could be totally soaked, though, the day after it rains, or reasonably dry. Hard to say, but if you're looking at less than 0.25" rain and full sun the next day with maybe a bit of wind, I'd say go for it. The SW corner options make a good back-up plan.

Thanks everyone. I'll keep an eye on the weather, and if it seems reasonable and the first pitch is dry, we'll probably go for it. If not, we'll head over to the SW corner to do some craggin!

Parental Guidance stays pretty dry for the most part. Of course it requires that you do the first pitch of the OR. You can avoid this by going up the gully to the right to its top and starting there.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
