It is now merged with True Grit (1rst pitch of TG then traverse over to the 2nd pitch of White Light) and is known as White Lightning. mountainproject.com/v/white…
The original line is supposed to be very vegetated.
Curtis, in the summer of '72, Peter Young and Peter Prandoni did the first ascent of True Grit. I saw them afterwards in the NCOBS staff area and they were covered in dirt. They went straight up, through the roof and groveled their way up the bush line to the top. I can't recall who did the first ascent of White Lightning, the next corner system to the right of True Grit, but I can look it up if you are interested. It groveled through the lower bushes in the corners until it gained that nice right facing dihedral higher up. Over the years folks started putting the first pitch of True Grit together with the second pitch of White Lightning and confusion arose over the name.
