Description Suggest change

One of the best routes at the Aretes, an unsung classic. Gently overhanging and endurancy with a couple of cruxes.

Climb through moderate terrain for the first 5 bolts, clipping the Open Season anchors. Pull a small bulge and continue up through juggy holds to another overlap, where Whiplash really begins. Clip the bolt above the overlap from an undercling, move left, and make a big throw or high step to a rounded jug for the first crux. Move right around the bolt, then back left into a decent right-hand undercling/sidepull pocket for the second crux. Mostly positive pockets and rails from here, as long as you can fight the pump!

Location Suggest change

Halfway up the lower Shooting Gallery gully. Look for 2 bolts that head slightly right to a hand crack.

Protection Suggest change

16 bolts, lower-off anchors.
