Hope you acclimate well or have a spare set of legs and lungs. Beautiful mountains that could be dusted in snow above 10, 000' according to this article Not sure how you're travelling and how you'd get there, but a hike and camp along the rainbow trail (8,300' average elevation) with short trips up to the lower lakes might be feasible. Good luck and be careful out there. |

Ibra wrote:Hey guys! I just flew in from Florida last night. I was thinking about heading to RMNP and hike for a good 5 days. The park is closed and I am currently seating with all my gear in Fort Collins trying to figure out a place to go hiking for a few days. Could anyone suggest a place in Colorado?I don't know, the rain is everywhere. It's been raining like the east coast here in Albuquerque for about 5 or 6 six days. |

Maybe check conditions around Lander? Ten Sleep, Wild Iris, Winds, Tetons. |

After today the spigot should get shut off. You can get to the Indian Peaks Wilderness from the West side, via Monarch Lake/Granby. |

Western Slope - there is some great climbing around Grand Junction. Unaweep or Colorado National Monument. |

I climbed in vedauwoo for most of the day Saturday. The rock was mostly dry and there was standing and running water along trails and lowlands. We're able to get up routes on Poland Hill..looks wet now though. Go out east |

north of I-70 is most likely a no-go for a very long time my friend. So leave the northern front range and head. |
