My question is this: What, in your opinion, is the formula for indoor climbing's success?

Same as outdoor climbing's success; it's fun to climb.

Not sure why people climb in gyms. I'd much rather climb outside.

I thought it might be obvious, but full time job?

To fully beat a dead horse...I've got a bunch of buddy's in LA, & I've never understood why they don't just climb the wide variety of buildings out there as oppose to training at the local climbing gym after work. Bunch of crazies! I worked in LA this summer, & would make the short 3 hour drive to Tahquitz or become one with the mountain lions in the Santa Monica Mountains every day after work when pressed for time.
