have a week off early April and would love to explore outside of my usual haunts (JT, Taquitz, SoCal in general.) Short on rack and partners but good on gear for most else plus enthusiasm.
I've been climbing on and off for 8 years, boulder v2-3, beginning to lead 5.9 (tho not a Josh 9 ;) , follow 10a-b. I'm safe.
Open to suggestions for destinations where a partner could be found easily upon arrival or even a roadtrip companion. I haven't climbed much outside of Europe, Bishop and SoCal, but would love to start spending more time in Yosemite and practice my footwork on the slick stuff, but don't want to get stuck bouldering the whole time.
Could also drive as far as Utah...
thanks for any feedback.
EDIT: taking off sat morning or late friday night, Utah bound. 1st stop red rocks, then Moab and the creek. gonna wing it looking for partners. Room for one in my wagon. return in a week.
