Description 

This gorgeous volcano, at the north end of White Salmon Valley, is Washington's second highest peak.
It was known to the Native Americans as Klickitat.
The summit is easily reached by the "South Spur".


Getting There 

Approaches will be described with the route descriptions.

South Spur Easy Snow  WA : Mt. Adams
This is the easiest route on the mountain. It follows gentle snow/pumice slopes.From timberline on road N81, follow an old road into a basin which becomes a trail on the left skyline ridge.Follow this ridge to a flat area known as the "Lunch Counter".
