Description Suggest change

Wal, whale in German, is a small sliver of rock between Ambaria and Bantowafels. There are six sport routes here perhaps the most important feature of Wal is its 10 meter rappel located in the center of the rock, descending its southern side. This makes it one of the few places where you can climb without double ropes.

Getting There Suggest change

Wal is best accessed from the south, in the direction of Bantowafels. Scramble up from the Keftogeorgios rocks, tracing the base of Bantowafels until you reach Wal. Climbs on the northern side are best accessed by walking west around the rock.
