enjoying the traverse in early spring

Description

Traversing around the base of the water tower. Jagged bricks create great holds for your hands and feet. Great for footwork, very long and sustained climbing, but plenty of places to rest.

Location

South side of Volunteer Park

Protection

None

Try connecting up the halves with a huge stem move across the doors. Great alternative to the gym on sunny days.

There are two signs posted that state climbing is prohibited. I spent about 3 hours working the traverse without incident on Easter Sunday with a park full of people. Not sure if i would rope up here but the traverse seems to be ok.
