any recommendations on a quality TR crag with easy approach? TR not mandatory, open to leading up to 5.9 but I'm not traveling with an experienced lead belayer so... That's a limitation.
Would love some beautiful scenery and quality rock. I'm interested in single pitch cracks with easy nearby sport leads for my lady companion.
I'm traveling with a single rack to 3" so splitter cracks are not very doable unless TR'd.
Heading back home to San Diego and Tuesday
I do NOT have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. I drive a hatchback so graded dirt roads are about as adventurous as I can get.
I'd also recommend oak creek overlook for toproping. Bring long slings or cordage and use a tree as an anchor. It's recommended to use a jacket or rope bag to pad the tree. The climbing is similar to Paradise Forks, but ledgier and thus easier. It's also a bit less out of the way to get there.
