Visiting Moscow, ID for possibly a while - looking for partners and info!

Hey MP,

My family is moving to Moscow, ID to take a job at the University - I'm from Kentucky and climb quite a bit of sport (mid 5.12, but mostly just pumpy, juggy things) there and I've bouldered in the Southeast a fair bit. I've climbed a bit of single and multipitch trad; though these days I would much prefer to just second/TR trad (up to 5.10+/11-) than lead it. I'm sorry to spray number grades, but I just want anyone that is interested to be fully informed so I'm not a burden on their day.

Even if you aren't interested in climbing together, what are good areas? Worst comes to worst, anywhere I can solo-boulder?

I give a good catch and will pitch in for gas money!

Thanks,
Cal

Riggins is a couple hours away and you can pull hard sport in the cave. Mccalls another hour or so for some trad. South fork of the Clearwater has a lot of trad and looks adventurous. I'd be down to explore this spring or later summer. I'm in Boise

Lots of climbers in Moscow! Riggins Limestone is very good 2hr, Deep Creek Fractured Basalt in Spokane 1.5 hr, Marcus Limestone 4 hr, Metaline Falls Limestone 4hr, China Bend Limestone (closed till July)4.5hr. Although you might not come Spokane for a Climbing Vacation. (that's what Kentucky for)Its a good place to live!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
