Visiting Brit in Maine without a partner - someone show me a good climb!

Hello, new to these forums.

I've got a brief window Sept 28th - Oct 3rd, would like to get out and climb with a local.

I'm a British climber, some 25 years experience but a bit rusty, coming over for a family wedding in Boston, then will be holidaying with family in Maine on the above dates. It would be great to get out and climb for a day or two. Currently, I only generally lead trad up to E1 or E2 (think that's somewhere in the low 5.10's but I'm only extrapolating from discussions with folk and conversion tables,) or sport (French) 6b-ish, very happy with easy stuff and will follow harder.

Think we'll be staying near Rockland, but I will have a hire car at my disposal, and may travel as far as I can get away with in a day (how long to Acadia, I wonder?), but unfortunately I'll probably only be able to bring over the most basic personal equipment (shoes, harness, chalk bag), so hope to join someone with a rope and gear.

Anyone available, please let me know / make suggestions.

Dave, you'll be right down the road from the Camden areas. Acadia ia fantastic, but if you only have a day look into Barret's Cove. If you can't find a partner here, try neclimbs.com.

I second the recommendation for Camden hills. There are some fun 2 pitch climbs at Barrets, and the lake across the road is great for swimming after the climbing.

Thanks guys. The Camden area looks great, and Barratt's cove especially convenient for a quick hit.
And some fine-looking routes.

I may well be able to negotiate bringing rope and a rack of small wires and cams for those routes, in case I don't manage to meet up with anyone, I may even manage to convince one of my inlaws to be dragged up something simple!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
