Long Hike w/small section of private property on the approach MORE INFO >>>
On the approach, from the parking spot the first 1/5 mile or so is most likely on Private property. We don't condone trespassing but we've never had a problem moving quickly and purposefully, do so at your own risk of course.

The Verdi zone is probably the washoe valley's most insane set of stones, but, sadly, it is currently impossible to reach them without crossing private property owned by hostile natives.
The area is basically a South east facing hillside with several dozen large granite blocs, size ranges from steep low balls to proud 30 foot walls. There are some towering lines out here, and the rock is 5 star, Tahoe style speckled granite. The FA potential is untapped.
the boulder field is located above the town of Verdi on the Cali/Nev border. If you're driving towards Reno on 80, as you come out of the canyon look up and to the northwest, you can see the light colored blocs on the far hillside.
Anyone willing to blaze a trail, let us know how it goes.
Getting There
Hike in, 1 hour+ approach to base of boulders then another hour to top of boulder field through steep sand.
