Description Suggest change

Limestone tower climbing. These things are anywhere from a few dozen feet to a couple hundred feet tall, and are pretty darn cool.

Visit this area if:
- You like rock with interesting features on wild formations in a natural setting (it's near a highway, but you can't hear a lot of traffic noise).
-You like rock that is moderately well-traveled (some routes look like they don't see a ton of traffic) but are well-protected.

Avoid this area if:
-you hate somewhat difficult approaches (it takes a tiny bit of 'skreeing' to get to the base of the crag we visited)
-you don't like sharp, limestone holds (better avoid the entire country if this is the case)

There are over 50 documented routes that range in difficulty from 4a (5.4) to 7b+ (5.12c) with most of them falling in the 5.10 to 5.11 range.

Getting There Suggest change

Google can guide you there better than I can, (Vela Draga is a well-known area) but for general orientation purposes, the closest town is called ÂŽeljeznička stanica Učka, which is about 30 minutes west of the tourist destination Opatija. The crags are about a 30 minute walk starting from an obvious trail that leads south from the parking area.
