BETA PHOTO: Pfeifferhorn from North Thunder Peak on October 1,...

Description

This pyramid shaped peak sits on the Alpine Ridge of the Wasatch Range. It is home to one of the more popular alpine routes in the state. The North Ridge is best climbed in the winter season when the loose rock that is prevalent here is frozen relatively solid.

Easy access, great views, and fun climbing make this peak a must do in the Wasatch Area.

Getting There

There are a few different ways to approach the peak and more specifically the North Ridge, the most direct starting from the White Pine trail that climbs from the White Pine Slide area in Little Cottonwood Canyon. For more detailed approach info, check out PellucidWombat's page on SummitPost.org
