| Anything that forms up in the Wasatch will probably be awful thin this weekend. If the weather gods smile on us the cold temperatures will continue and things will get fat in a hurry! | FLAG |

It's real name is Pricecicle, pricicle, or Price Cicle but some locals call it "Ford Creek Falls". The ice formation is just 10 miles Northwest of Helper Utah on hwy 6. You can belay from your bumper. (Almost literally) Normally I wouldn't post on the net where the only ice for 5 hours is, but lets get real, anyone with a passenger window knows where it is. I recall Dave telling me it had been known as "Tinkertoys" way back when, but, can't recall who or what group gave it that moniker. I've always called it the "Dirtcicle". Must be for the kinda actively spewing coal seam that runs across the route. Wonder who did the earliest known ascent of it? Has been around and well known as an ice route for many years. Pre-80's I'd guess. Hopefully colder weather here to stay soon! | FLAG |

| The Dirtcicle looks like hell. I drove by it on my way to Joes's today. It was visibly melting today and there was a huge difference from the morning to evening on the way home. Joe's is slim. We went up to Mary's Lake and found one climb in and thin. Then came down and climbed CCC with some mixed moves to get through one section that was back melted snowcone and about 2 inches thick. Highway to Heaven looked OK with the Headwall formed into a tall skinny pillar. I only saw this one from the road because we were running out of time. It was 45 degrees today down there. It needs to get cold for us to have any chance for ice. But you all know that. Dallen | FLAG |

| Honestly the best Ice in Utah that I have found is Mary's Lake only one route and up in the Uintah's which is more of an adventure then a real climb. Good Luck out there. Dallen | FLAG |

| Anyone have any info on Joes Valley? Finally some cool weather with some snow in Provo (think timp routes will be thick enough by the weekend?). I was thinking if Joes Had some snow with a week of cold temps perhaps there may be something in by the weekend. Id like to go camp there this weekend but dont want to waste my time if there is nothing. | FLAG |

| Went to Joe's yesterday. Drove up to Lake Mary but from the car the only route in looked to thin for my lead head. 1st pitch of CCC falls is in but the 3rd pitch curtain is not touching yet. Donorcicle is not touching yet either. Pricecicle is in good. | FLAG |

| You think CCC will be climbable by the weekend or no? Any Idea on Deadbolt? I bet its not touching yet either. Anyone have any info on Provo Canyon? Millers Thriller in? Or Upper Falls? I am sure the Apron is thickening up nicely... Just have done so many laps on it over the last few years its boring to me now lol! Has anyone been up to Timp above Aspen grove since this cold weather began? How does the east face of Roberts look? Does anyone have any beta on any other Alpine routes in that vicinity? I have never climbed any of the routes up South Fork above Vivian park. Are they fun? Does anyone have any beta on them? | FLAG |

| I top roped laps on the apron of stairway this afternoon. It was pretty wet and not really thick enough to protect with 16 cm screws. There was a lot of water running behind the ice as well. It looks like temps will be dropping a bit over the next few days. The question is whether it will be enough to build ice or just to maintain. | FLAG |

| Thanks to the Utah contingent for the beta on the Dirtcicle. Managed to get in a couple of rope solo laps on my way by yesterday. Wet on the right side and chandeliered on the left but all-in-all not bad.

| notmyname wrote: I haven't seen a piece of trash get this much attention since Snooki got pregnant Well I passed up the opportunity to tap Snooki (read the dirtcicle) on the ass and went on to CCC in Joe's - the first pitch is in. The pillar has not touched down ant the top looks to be worse connected than I remember.
