Description

Starting from Stinky Fingers, move up to the first feature of the arete (height depending, you may need one more move up to reach the traverse fracture) beginning your traverse right reaching for a nice finger crack that angles vertically at both top and bottom. Use the large horn above your head to move up into the next system of fractures, reaching up into another nice finger crack opens you to two jugs to clear to a clean top out. Walk off in either direction.

It is a fun, little, vertical wall problem of roughly 15-18 feet in height. All three (3) of the problems on Potty Breaks start off on Stinky Fingers.

A spotter and a pad are a good idea as the landing is sloping to the creek. Snakes abound in the area, and the critters living in the rock account for the namesake of the route.

Location

Routt County Road 82, Forest Service Road 116 follows Slater Creek.

The best problems can be found near the intersection of Slater and Adams Creeks. The crag sticks out like a sore thumb as you reach the area, it is north of the road & creek and south of Shield Mountain. There are many possible routes to access Routt County Road 82 (due consider conditions and winter closures).

Located near the confluence of the creeks, it is a dominate point.

It is on the north side of the road...park wherever you would like along side the road...skip, hop, and jump over the creek to reach the crag.

Protection

Pad and or a spotter...the landing is on a slight slope that is loose, talus type rock.
