Top roping on the Upper Ridge.
A seventy foot formation along Foothill Trail with a few smaller outcroppings scattered around. The main wall is home to Red Wind.
The formation itself faces North, away from town. The wall has a wonderful atmosphere of seclusion despite it's short distance from downtown and easy access just off Foothill Trail.
The area surrounding the cliff, the views and the sweeping landscape, is incredible.
Park at the top of Signal where Shelf Road begins. Begin hiking up Shelf Road. After a few short minutes, take the Fox Canyon trail, on the left, and hike uphill for about a mile. Turn right onto Foothill trail. After a short distance, stay right at another fork. Continue on this trail for about .5 miles until you see the wall on the right. Total approach time is about thirty minutes.
