Warning Access Issue: Lick Brook requires a permit to ice climb. DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

Upper Falls. 140' high depending on the size of the cone at the base.

in good conditions there are one or two ice columns 50ft + high that form to the climber's left of the upper falls.

Not sure if climbing is allowed on the upper falls. The south side is posted that climbing is only allowed with written permission from M. Thayer, 18 Town Line Road. Perhaps M. Thayer owns the property that borders that side of the falls?

Protection Suggest change

Top rope or ice screws for leading. There aren't really any convenient trees for top roping and you'll probably need a 70m rope if doing so.
