2. The south end of the First Corridor is in danger of collapsing at the base of Sophie’s Choice. A dam of rocks and soil has been built to divert water away from the eroding soil underneath these huge boulders. Please help keep this system in place until a more permanent solution is implemented.
Description
Belay from bolts at the base of the slab. Work up and left past two bolts to a cluster of large knobs and a large hole. Pull over the knobs onto a steep headwall. Utilize a couple small protruding knobs and shallow pickets to surmount a blocky bulge above the headwall. Continue climbing on amazing knobs and the occasional pocket. Continue past the last bolt and trend to the right to a ring anchor shared with South Fork.
