This is a broad area around the terminus of the Two Trees trail. The climbs are scattered in both directions and within a short a approach from Box Springs Mountain Road. A wide array of boulders, cracks, and face that still needs more exploring. Rock quality varies from very good to very rotten so be weary of breaking holds. On a nice day the area has some of the best views in Riverside and in the spring or when there is sufficient rain, the area is very green and quite nice.

Getting There

Hike the Two Trees Trail to the main road near the ranger station or drive up to the parking area

Twin cracks that finish in a good hand crack. Face holds are abundant throughout the first half of the climb. The crux is probably the 7 ft all in hand crack at the end. Fun and easy climb, very enjoyable!...[more]   Browse More Classics in CA

Its awesome to see UCR'ers / Riversidetonians exploring Boxsprings. Sure the cliffs are not mega awesome, nor are they steep, but they offer probably the greatest concentration of unexplored, albeit short, routes in the I.E.

Kudos to you guys choosing the path less trodden. Let everyone else flock to the Usual Suspects. Enjoy the solitude and experience for what it's worth.
