We are Carien and Job,

We are enthusiastic climbers with zero experience on placing traditional gear. We are looking for someone that might be interested in leading us, or for someone that can help us connect with someone that might be able to lead us on these dates.
We will camp @ camp 4, arrive at June 14th and leave in the afternoon of June 17th. We have our own harnesses and shoes, we might be able to bring our own rope (60m).
We will be willing to pay in treats (pizza, beer, European Climbing meals - very famous-, San Diego pintails, home baked bread - only available on Saturday, though)

We look forward to it!

Carien (tel: 8582313971, carienhilvering@gmail.com)
and Job (tel: 8583665266, jobkahmann@gmail.com)

You may do better looking for someone willing to "lead," rather than "guide" you up the route.

Good point - it could be all in the language.

Guiding is done for cash and only YMS guides, legally, in Yosemite.

Anyone can legally lead you up the routes for pizza. As long as it's good and doesn't have green peppers on it.

Thank you for this information! We actually tried to contact them but couldn't reach their phone for weeks. Anyhow, we don't put green peppers on our pizza, and look forward to a leaded climb with good company anyway..

After reading this, I called the phone number listed on their website:

(209) 372-8344. They answered on the second ring. Are you dialing the phone numbers correctly?

Carien,

You also might try posting up on supertopo.com as there are lotsa folks from around Yosemite on that site.

Jim
