I believe Hobel (sp?) spent time cleaning routes on this wall. I even found a little sandstone plaque on top calling it the Hobel Wall. This was the young guy who died out here in the nineties.

I put this route up in the late 90s along with about forty other climbs. The route name is Ratrastard and I agree with the 10 a/b rating. The wall was dedicated to Mike Hobel. Mike fell to his death off the south side wall during a 4:20 campout. His family placed a plaque on the boulder near the two big pine trees where he fell. I created a guide book for Volunteer but never published it. If anyone wants more route info feel free to contact me. prauss@npgcable.com

Hi Paul thanks for the info. I know some of us would love to see what you have done out there... Maybe you could post the more solid classics you discovered?
