There is an attemted line with fixed anchors at the left edge of the spire. Pete Takeda: "It rises out of the hillside like a giant, raspy gizzard with a house-sized capstone overhanging on all sides. Desent: rap from a single-bolt anchor back to the notch.
Location From the Garfield parking area hike for about 15 mins east parallelling I.70 pasted a fence line to an open canyon.
Protection Angle pitons (1) each; ice tool (1); hangers 0.5".
