last time I was there was 1981, and there were not many people there, luckily I had partner!

This time, considering a trip solo. No idea what if any scene there. Is it easy to go solo and pick up climbing partners?

It's easy. Just ask around the chief campground and you will find people.

Cool. Sounds like everywhere else these days!

Will confirm, super easy. Show up at campground, especially when people start cooking. Easiest way to meet people. Alternatively, you could wander around the Smoke Bluffs and you'll probably find someone.

Great! I am booked, will be there July 4-11.

How are temperature and mozzies camping there early July? Wondering whether to crash in the car or bring a tent with mozzie net.

Never hurts to bring a tarp when camping in BC. The bugs generally aren't too bad, and better than most places.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
