I'm confused. You are from New Mexico and posting up about Ayer, Massachusetts bouldering? BTW what would you grade it at. I'm not much of a boulderer. Easier to do than it appears from the photo!

Oops! Just noticed a V9 grading. Must more than one problem on it. The only way I could get a V9 done is by aiding up it!

I believe this problem is called The Compactor, and it is on the Trash Can Boulder. See the videos in the comments on the Ayer main page.

You are right, it is Trashcan. I looked quickly and thought it was the Double Roof. I can do Double Roof!!!

Anyone been out at Ayer recently? I have twice seen a white pickup at the pulloff as well as two vehicles another time, and the trail looked well packed last night. If so, give me a shout and we can compare notes and problems.

I posted about this because I am from Townsend, Massachusetts. I am currently moving around checking out new places. I climbed here once in a while, and I didn't see anything here about it, so I thought I would share it. Sorry I got the name wrong.... I didn't mean to offend anyone by posting about a Mass. rock while not in state.... ha

Taylor -- No worries. I wasn't offended but simply confused, as I often am! -- Bill

I was out there last summer, and after bouldering there, I crossed the powerlines to explore and found a "campsite" where someone was def living at for a good amount of time. I gave a couple of yells but no response. It kind of creeped me out. The hills have eyes style!

I am sure for a small town Ayer has quite the homeless population....
