If you plan on top roping the main wall, be aware that the most obvious anchor (a tree) is dead (it is not immediately obvious) and not a great anchor choice.
Tram Rock is a crag with a lot of routes in an amazing setting. Secluded in the old growth pines just beyond the Alyeska Tram this area feels nothing like the other routes on the arm. There are a some quality lines here along with a few bombs. Its worth the trip to check out something now but if you plan on enjoying the climbing dont forget the bug dope. Lots and lots of DEET. A number of the routes need a wire brush or sand blaster to clean up the moss.

Getting There
To get to Tram Rock drive through Girdwood on main street. Turn left on Arlberg ad follow this to the Hotel Alyeska free parking area. Walk along the north side of the hotel (left) to the tram around back. Look for the trail headed into the forest between the second and third light post under the tram. There is also a trail that ties into the approach from the frisbee gulf goal 50' beyond the trailhead. Walk for three minutes through the forest to arrive at the crag.GPS: 60.968453, -149.093143
