Hey guys,

I've been climbing for a few years now and would really like to get out a lot more with someone experienced. Right now I'm living out of my Car, tent, and friends couches. I'm traveling around but always end back up in Tucson and Flag. If anyone would be willing to go on a few outings with me and maybe decide to partner up in the long term. I'd of course reward you with my un-dying admiration and appreciation. Along with of course a few beers, being a belay slave, and cooking some rad meals.

So message me, lets talk.

Elias,

Seen your call for a mentor. I'm in L.A. but planning to go to Tucson in the next couple of days to pick up my parents. I climb mostly in the Sierras and Joshua Tree, but hope to visit the Cochise Stronghold Thursday and Friday. Respond and we can talk.

Hey Jorge!

I just got back to Tucson for the week and would love to go out! I've never been to Cochise before, so I wouldn't be much of guide for the area. But I'd make up for it in enthusiasm!

Jorge, read your bio, I think you would like mountainproject.com/v/moby-…

I like this guys comment: from the route page.

Shad "Fun climbing the whole way, although probably not the best for a leader who climbs 5.8 at best. Gear is crafty, and there are some areas that non-natives might consider run-out...."

Assuming your up for 5.8 with a back country approach. The run outs are no worse then back country J-Tree.

This is one of my wife's favorites out there along with mountainproject.com/v/the-w…

The last comment:

Sayfe "Fun climb, excellent maze of zig zags, chimney, chicken heads, long run it traverse, and exposure... No doubt one of the best climbs in AZ. Not a place for sport bolt climber!"

Classic Chicken Head climb bring every shoulder sling you have. The Wasteland is steeper and as posted somewhat convoluted.

What ever you do have fun.

Thanks for the Beta Tim! Sounds like some sweet climbs.

I agree with Elias, both Moby Dick and Wasteland are on my radar, but anytime someone goes into a new area it takes a bit to get their bearings. Those climbs are on opposite sides (East and West) and I am constrained by time, hoping to get some tips for a few climbs in close proximity to each other.

Boy, I'm going to be eating some chickenheads for lunch, fo sho!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
