The Tortoise Boulder and Boulder Creek.

Description

This creek-side boulder offers a refreshing, bouldering session during late summer, early fall months. It has a great (low ball) traverse, and a difficult sit down, roof project, beginning within the stone shell.

Getting There

Drive up Boulder Canyon to the Animal World, Vampire Rock parking area. Locate the Beer Can formation across the creek to the southwest. The boulder can be seen on the south side of the creek below, and left, east of the latter formation.
