What are the top brands I should be looking for? My favorites right now are Arc'teryx, Mammut, Norrona, & Westcomb.

My favorite is the "On Sale" brand. :) But seriously, not sure what you are asking. Top brands based on what? Your list seems to be based on whatever costs the most, in which case you can probably add Patagonia to the list.

Strange question. You want people to suggest what brand clothing you should wear?

What is this aparrel you speak of? I have never heard of aparrel. Is this something I can google search for? Maybe it will bring up dictionary.com and show me how to spell it correctly!

Taking the question seriously, I like Black Diamond stuff just because I'm tall and skinny, and thats the only stuff that's not super baggy on me and is cut high in the armpits to facilitate stretching for a hold. They're also a fairly expensive brand, but you can get last seasons stuff for decent prices. I don't own a single piece of outdoor gear that I've spent full price on anyways.

Busted...I was really looking for suggestions on brands that hold up long term and are made with good quality control. Basically brands that aren't churned out in Chinese factories like Columbia and North Face. I have started to look for European companies that make quality shells, Fleece, etc..Any suggestions? I know this is a broad question but once again looking for clothes that will last for years.
