New access to Allenspur climbing MORE INFO >>> June 2009 Update: There have been recent new developments in climbers access to Allenspur. For years the "Red Barn Antiques" property (now under new ownership) has been off-limits for use to approach the crags- all access has been via the Harper property easement. The current owners, however, are interested allowing climbers to hike to the crags via a more direct trail across the southern end of their property. The SMCC and the landowners have entered into a one-year trial period for SMCC Members and their guests to use this new approach. Description 

One of the easier climbs at Allenspur this climb sees a lot of traffic as a place to hang a top rope or just hang out in the little cove that is filled with several good lines. Sadly this is not one of those good lines IMO. The bolting is extremely weird with some of the bolts being placed behind boulders and the like. That being said though the pitches above are fantastic and if you don't feel like doing the far superior Sully's just to the right this is a way to get to the anchors for those climbs.

The first climb you come upon when you walk up into the small alcove. Starts on a column.
