| I do believe the "3rd time" comment turned out to be erroneous. However the drop was due to incorrect grigri usage. Also a kid got dropped and died at the Motherload a couple years back, I think on a cinch. |

| Real climbers who really climb get tired of arguing with uninformed jackasses who hold strong opinions for bad reasons. Uninformed jackasses don't get tired of it. This makes the mountainproject forums a great place for getting into a stupid argument or getting some irrelevant bad advice, and not much else.

| Good god, what have I done?!? As the OP I forced myself to read through the last two pages of little girls bickering, but let me tell you, it was painful. I just wanted to hear peoples opinions, lets just stop the quarreling!
I have decided to get rid of the damn thing, its a great device, but I really don't need it. I am going to stick to my beloved ATC and call it good. My loss you might think? I would say someone else's gain...

| I only use gri gri for solo tr or when belaying a very heavy climber on tr, otherwise its ATC. Its nice to have it though. Amazing how argumentative you all can be over something like that????? Oh well maybe its entertaining. |
