Description 

Basalt boulders in the forest below Thumb Butte. Not a lot of problems, but what there is is pretty good. One area nearest to the trailhead parking lot is closed during peregrine nesting season.

Getting There 

Drive west on Gurley St. to the traihead parking area for Thumb Butte (obvious landmark west of the city). Park and hike to the rocks. The Outfromunder Boulders and the New Outfromunder Boulders can be reached from this lot.
