L to R R to L Alpha
Climb the ice ramp beside the right-facing corner, to a big ledge with a large oak tree growing beside a steep rock wall. Continue up the right-facing corner, shuddering as you pass the 40' vertical ice pasted to the wall. Work right around a steep curtain and up a final steep bit to reach a ledge with oak trees.
About 8 minutes' walk past the Northeast Cascade, a talus pile of huge boulders blocks easy access to the side of the mountain. The talus is bordered on the left by a large, right-facing rock cliff - along which this route runs. Work up this left verge to the base of this route.
Ice screws (bring a stubby or two) and plenty of runners, particularly double length runners.
