Ah, spoken like a true champion.

You may have this match bagged Mr. Smith, but do know:
Whenever the weather is foul and the rock unfit for climbing, I will return to Slay again!

(I hope your shoulder is healing well - cheers on the rope, and may we be able share again someday!).

Mr. Camerones, thank you for the shoulder well-wishes and we will share a rope again. I have a goal to climb some untouched rock this year in September. The place in question is one you (literally) missed a couple years ago. We must go back with my friend Kirk Ranney and do it properly this time.

I wish you best on your Slaying, but yes, this one is mine.

Perhaps a separate thread should be slayed? I briefly reviewed the the thread and became lost. Although regarding pg 10, I couldn't help but notice without a better foundation, I wouldn't trust any of those placements, due to questionable rack. [Edit: rock. Yes, they looked good, but I suspect that one good yank and they'd be gone.]

Mr. Bauer,

I can understand how a neophyte could get lost in the labyrinth of this thread but during the heady days of spring/summer/fall of 2009 there were friendships made and destroyed, battles won and lost, and the promise of the future. But in the end, all threads will die.

Concerning page 10 and the excellent crack therein, sometimes a piece of pro can be more asthetic than functional. More of the same:

I can't stress enough the importance of proper pro placement.

That looks to be an undercammed placement. . . dangerous indeed!

Edit: And Lee, absolutely keep me in mind for your September outing. . . I promise not to get lost this time (truly shameful)!

Horse, it brings a tear to my eye that you spent your 1000th post on my thread. Snif, I Love You Man!

Yeah, so I just slayed the "name the route" thread again. I'm kryptonite for that one.

Lee almost got away with it..

speaking of post counts, I am quietly counting down to 5000; just shows how much I loved my previous career. If I'd only had a beer for each post..oh wait, I think I did

Dearest Darren:

I hope the weather is really nice where you are. It's been snowing here off and on; the sun came out briefly today, so that was pleasant.

The reason for this post is well, I've had to move on in my climbing and have no longer visited your routes. It seems ice shows me a greater appreciation. You've become so distant, I just can't go on with it. I've also decided to remove all your bolts and also to grow a beard. I hope you understand and don't take this too hard.

Though I will always keep your guide book close to my heart.

Be well

XOXOXO

BJ

And don't think you can slay this thread. Some jobs need to be left to the professionals.

Looks like we're going to get up to 8" of fresh pow! I dislike snow and the word "pow", btw. In fact, if I were President of the World, I would, I would have my way with many. . . er-um. . . I would demand that we do our best to heat up this globe to keep that wretched white stuff, and its ridiculous slangs to an absolute minimum.
