You need to go up there with something really aggressive like a small crowbar with a pointed nose.

This thing?

I know, brainless, eh?

Unfortunately, not all climbers are considerate of the rock and of other's experience on the route.

The cable on the right side looks like it's overdue for snapping... That bend can't be good.
What's the rationale between hammering in a stopper instead of a new pin? If you're gonna wail on metal with a hammer might as well put in something solid.

That piece looks solid

Well I would try my butter knife , looks to me like one could work it from a couple spots .

For those people who do not know what a butter knife is , it's a cold chisel sharpened to resemble the first few inches of a butter knife on one edge .

Great for removing dead heads and bashies. Which is what your #12 is now. Also comes in handy for spreading your Nutella as well.

I seem to remember a string of these on the Salathe Wall a few pitches under the headwall.

well I breifly tried a butter knife for it but it was IN THERE!!!!! didnt have enough time or balls to try and get it out... I am with mark in that it might take a freaken crow bar!!!!!

You were there pard, I was not so maybe a crowbar is needed.

However from looking at the photograph to me it appears if you were to attack that sucker from the bottom and pry up it should pop.might have to get mean with it.

Now if your hanging on a hook while doing this then ..... Yes I get it.

Perfect pin placement too bad , even of its shallow they could have stacked or used a sawed off . Hmmm some peoples kids.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
