This weekend and next - easy classics

I will be visiting Denver for work next week, and I'd like to get some climbing in on the two weekends straddling it. I'll be carrying a rope, rack, and will rent a car. Looking for partners familiar with the climbs here to get on some easy classics with (trad, alpine, or maybe even some multi-pitch sport, like Playin' Hooky, at CCC).

This weekend (08/04-05: Sat-Sun) I'd like to do something near Denver-Boulder (CCC, Flatirons, Eldo, Lumpy, maybe RMNP), and not too committing (Grade II, perhaps). Next weekend (08/10-12: Fri-Sun), I'd like to head down to the Crestones and do a couple routes there. Ellingwood Ledges is high on my ticklist. Alternatively, alpine classics in RMNP could work too, like the NE Ridge.

Please respond here, or email me ( gokulgopal -at- gmail ) if interested, and available during any of the above dates.

Thanks to Lin for climbing with me in Eldo last weekend.

I'd like to head down to the Sangres and do Ellingwood Ledges this weeekend (plus maybe a hike up to Humboldt and/or Crestone Peak). I plan to be there Friday to Sunday - will camp by S Colony Lakes. Have rack, rope and car (driving out from Denver). Please contact me via PM or email (see OP), or post here if interested.

No really helping, just bumping for ya

I just got back from the Crestones this past weekend and had great conditions. Highly recommend doing the "direct start" to Ellingwood Arete if you go. Also, if linking it to the Crestone Traverse (backwards from the standard), might make for a long day, but its awesome to get below the Black Gendarme and do lots of 3rd(sometimes off route 4th) traversing.

Hope you able to find someone to link up with.

Thanks for the beta Nick. Unfortunately, it seems no one's currently stoked on heading to the Crestones, so I'm going to have to abandon that plan.

If anyone's free to spend a couple hours or so at CCC this evening let me know.

Anyone interested in getting on some easy alpine route in RMNP (great dihedral or similar) tomorrow, text me ASAP or post here. You are welcome to crash at my campsite in Moraine Park. 6!4-2!4-254o
