Anyone else noticed that the word backcountry in a comment or post automatically links to backcountry.com? For example:

mountainproject.com/v/chiri…, second post.

Weird. I assume it's some snafu with the updgrades.

MP probably trying to cash in on advertising.

Definitely no snafu. But absolutely obtrusive.

I am expecting pop-up pharmaceutical and cigarette ads next, maybe some of those advertisements that pose as articles explaining how the worlds financial system is about to melt down and you should load up on gold. Testosterone supplements? Dick deflating?

We do link backcountry.com through a system that gives us credit for sending users there (and about a dozen other partners such as REI, EMS, etc)... though linking the phrase "backcountry" was a bug. Now fixed.

Thanks.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
