BETA PHOTO: The Sad Face boulder. So cool!!!

This often shady line faces just about due West and is very visible from the trail. The rock is steep. The quality is great and the holds are big.... until the top out!!!! Great steep jug line and really good for a warm up as well as a nice change of pace from the "Egg" style climbing just east of this fine overhand. A must do!!!!

Getting There

This overhung face bares the resemblance of a sad persons frown is located a little east of the junction for the Dedisse Trail and where "The Hidden Fawn Trail" and "The Sisters Trail" meet.

The Sad Face V2 5+  CO : Morrison/Evergreen : ... : The Sad Face Overhang
Start down low matched in what looks like the frown of a sad face. Pull past the nice jugs to the top out (crux) where you must bare down on some crazy crystals and pull/mantle on top of the block.Moving left at the top out makes the line about one V-grade easier. So for full value keep your back out of the tree branches that are just left of the finish. Great line!!! If you are passing by it is a must stop and do. I almost never pass it up!!!...[more]   Browse More Classics in CO
