Heading out to Acadia National Park this week and was just interested in rappel info for the Precipice climbs. My Falcon guide states that I need 2 ropes yet MP shows I can rap on just one rope. Any info on what the real deal is? We'll only have one rope with us and I don't want to summit if we can't get down. We'll be climbing Story of O and Standard Route so descent info for those routes in particular would be most appreciated.

You only need one rope at the precipice. The rap, climbers right from the top of standard can reach all the way to the bottom with some rope stretch and a few feet of down climbing on jugs with a 70m. It is also super easy to traverse left over to the raps on Story of O.

Have fun! That place is sweet!!!
