Description Suggest change

The Patio is a flat bench of rock that hosts a 10-15 ft. high grey volcanic wall that forms an alcove on the uphill side. The Patio is distinguished by a low undercut bulge that runs the length of the right side and an oblique corner with a blade of rock with a quarter-sized hole perched at its top. The Patio is on the right (east side) 10yds before reaching the high tidal basin and the bottom of the hill. Nakalele Point is a very popular destination for tourists, so a midweek visit would help avoid the crowds.

Getting There Suggest change

Hike down the well worn path toward the ocean. Continue down the rocky ravine. Near the bottom a large boulder resting on a small pedestal can be see on the right. This is the Anvil. Before reaching this inverted boulder, scramble out of the ravine to the right onto the wide flat rock bench. The Patio will be on the right.
