The best bouldering and 5.11-5.12 climbing in Palisades

The biggest boulder Palisades State Park has to offer. Beautiful and quiet area. Room for a few more great routes.

Probably the best route on this boulder. Sit start on ok crimps and feet on the ditry rock down low. Bump to jugs and work through the crux set of gastons. ...[more]   Browse More Classics in SD

To get to the MWC take the trail behind the last cabins upstream for several minutes. Once you pass the small wood bridge take the faint trail right (at some point this was marked with orange blaze) and you will see the MWC.

This area is beautiful and scerene, far from the normal Palisades crowds with a nice babbling brook to help you find that calm peaceful center. Nice work Mike this place is great!

Hopefully this area will get some more traffic...it really is some of the best climbing in Palisades. It would be easy and prudent to set up short top-ropes for the lines on the Biblical face which has the most natural hard (5.12) climbing sequences in the park.
