Description

East and above the northern most pond is a west facing crag, I now know is called Journeyman Crag. It had steep severe mixed and ice. The other Brad White I believe has done two routes here. I've seen photo's of the ice routes through overhangs on the cliff. It looks very exciting to climb. Mark Sprague's comment has the information to link to NEClimbs about the details.

Getting There

This is a challenging area to find, with steep terrain and the thickest of pine forest woods to navigate. You need a high commitment to having an adventure also. Coming south from the Kanc. on the Mt. Osceola East Peak/Greeley Ponds Trail, at the sign post to East Osceola Trial go left on to the Greeley Ponds Trail. Pass the northern pond then bushwhack east up into nowhere's land. It is directly above the middle of this pond, a steep singular crag left or northern side of this large slab, about 3 miles in.

Bradley, this sounds like the Journeyman Crag. There is information here: The Journeyman (WI 4 M2) on NEClimbs

Hopefully 'Brad White North Conway' will be able to post some more information. I am curious also if he or others have done anything at Monkey Village, the crag further south on that side.
